Meet Michael DeAses of Spring area

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michael DeAses.

Hi Michael, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Started a company with 2 other electricians things didn’t work out so I went back to work for a company I was previously working for. I kept getting calls from clients so I started doing work after my regular job and on weekends. I would see how much work I can do while working a regular job I managed to do buildout in a lease space for kolache factory then quit my regular job and have been on own ever since.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has not been a smooth road. I don’t think it will ever be a smooth road. There’s lots of up & downs in business some things happen that you would never think of happen. My biggest struggle has been building a team finding well rounded licensed electricians.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a master electrician and have done service work in the electrical field since 2001 covering all of Houston area. My experience is in commercial, residential, & some industrial.
One of the things I’m most proud of is the fact that I’ve been able to rebuild myself multiple times in my life. I started in this trade as a helper, worked my way up to master electrician, and eventually built my own electrical businesses from the ground up. Nothing was handed to me — I learned by showing up every day, working hard, and refusing to quit, even when life threw setbacks my way.

I’m also proud of the role I’ve played as a father. Bringing my sons into the electrical world and watching them grow into hardworking young men has been one of the biggest rewards of my life. It feels like I’m building something that goes beyond business — it’s generational.

Another thing I’m proud of is the discipline I’ve built through Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and fitness. Training has taught me patience, humility, and how to stay centered in the middle of chaos. Those lessons carry over into how I run my business and how I live my life.

And lastly, I’m proud of the mindset I’ve developed. I’ve lived through loss, major life changes, and some hard personal growth moments, but I’ve never stopped trying to become a better version of myself.
