Today we’d like to introduce you to Miss TK.
Miss TK, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I’m a fashion and lifestyle blogger/micro-influencer on IG, ranking at about 1300 followers and GROWING! At the end of 2018, I decided to pursue blogging and to utilize my Instagram account and website as a tool for developing and displaying my creative passions – merchandising, styling, wardrobe dressing.
I’ve recently graduated Magna Cum Laude (DROPS MIC) from Texas State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Family & Consumer Sciences and a focus on fashion merchandising and business. Throughout my college years, my creativity began to grow and so did blogging and influencing. I never saw myself doing it, but then I realized I just needed to take a leap of faith! I stopped worrying about the “what-if’s” and listened to the encouragement from my peers and introduced my blog site (https://bymisstk.com) to the world. It’s been an amazing ride with doors opening that I’d never pictured, before.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
With graduating college and pursuing a career in my field, working 40-hour weeks, my blog hasn’t been receiving the attention it deserves. I tend to place it on the back burner, in times of distress.
Often times, I scroll Instagram and see all of the influencers with more followers doing the DAMN thing, wishing it was me. Afterwards, I always remind myself everyone started from somewhere and didn’t have it all, all at once. It reinforces my dedication and ambition towards my goals!
Also, I am working on being more transparent with my audience with challenges I am going through and continuing to provide that motivation that my followers enjoy.
But, I am excited to continue to put my best effort into it in 2020 and roll out a revamp of the site and polish up my portfolio and styling services!
Please tell us more about BYMISSTK. What do you do? What do you specialize in? What sets you apart from competition?
BYMISSTK was created as a website that serves as a fashion + lifestyle blog page AND a fashion styling portfolio displaying my creative works over the years. It also features a contact page, where you can directly contact and book me for services.
I believe what sets me apart from other bloggers, is my authenticity in my writing. When I write my blogs, I type out my sentences as if I am talking to the person reading it. I keep it fresh, fun and FLIRTY. Also, I put cute and casual garments together that ANYONE should feel comfortable in – that’s where the lifestyle piece comes into play. Receiving this specific feedback from my audience reinforces that I am on the right path and creative vision for my brand.
I am most proud of the effort I am putting into my work and the amazing response on it! If anything keeps me going, it’s God and my followers. THANK YOU!
