Moe, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Before I moved to Houston, I lived in NY, NJ, and West LA and I have never seen anyone drinks and drive as much as people in Houston. I literally saw someone holding a beer and driving on my first day here. When I looked up transportation companies in The Woodlands, I noticed there are not many options. The ones that were still in business were either too expensive or didn’t have good service. I decided to open a small company with only 3 cars, just to keep drunks off the road and have an extra side income.
On the first month of opening the business, we had many reservations and business was already booming and we were already profitable. Within the first 6 months, I had 8 cars, I decided to quit my full-time job and focus on my own business. I added a partner in my business to help us provide excellent caring service as an owner. Fast forward to today, we have approximately 20 vehicles, with a mix of sedans, SUVs, stretch limos, party buses and shuttle buses. Using my 15 years of corporate experience, since day 1, I decided to run this business as a corporate structure instead of a small mom & pop’s shop.
We answer calls professionally, we provide clean vehicles, professional English speaking chauffeurs, and an amazing experience overall. All of our clients that we do business with, can attest to our outstanding service. As of the date of writing this story, ratings-wise, we are the best limo company in North Houston with the best and most reviews and happiest clients. We make a living from this business, help about 25 other chauffeurs earn a living from this business, and in the process, we help save lives & provide peace of mind for travelers and party goers.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Smooth ride? It has been anything but a smooth ride. Being in the transportation business is not easy. We deal with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies. Our biggest challenge has been with the regulatory agencies coming up with new regulations while TNC companies provide unsafe, unreliable, and unprofessional transportation services using their personal cars. We exceed minimum state insurance requirements, our chauffeurs go through a rigorous FBI background checks to protect the public, and our vehicles are immaculately clean, modern, and reliable.
Please tell us about Deluxe Limousine & Transportation.
We are a full-service transportation company. Our company has 2 sectors – corporate and retail. On our corporate side, we have the luxury and executive sedans & SUVs. We provide airport transportation to our corporate clients for their business travel needs, shuttle service for their corporate events and holiday parties, and secure transportation for the CEOs and other corporate execs. For the most part, we deal directly with corporate admins or travel agencies, providing ease of booking, 24 hours invoicing, 24/7 dispatch service, text alerts, and email notifications. We communicate clearly and properly to ensure everything runs smooth, after all, we don’t want anyone being mad at the admins we work with since they help us run this business.
In the retail sector, we cater to retail clients and deal directly with passengers. We treat them the same as our corporate clients and provide on-time, reliable, and safe transportation for them and their loved ones. We offer stretch limos, SUV stretch limos such as Hummer limos and Escalade limos, shuttle buses and party buses. We ensure that their occasion or gathering run smooth and transportation would not be the one thing that would stress them out. We specialize in weddings, proms, homecomings, birthday parties, and Quinceañeras’. We have all sorts of packages for the nights out on the town, for bar hopping, or simply just celebrating an anniversary with their loved one.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
To be honest, I didn’t have much of a childhood. When I was 6 months old, the Russians invaded my country (Afghanistan) so my parents were forced to leave the country. We moved country to country, by the time I was 9 years old, we came to the US through the UN as a refugee, English was my 5th language, had moved over 14 times, and lived in 4 different countries.
I missed out on a lot of things as a child but that made me a strong and hard working person that I am today and definitely no regrets. However, one of my favorite memories that I can recall was the day when we were rejoined with our family members in the US.

- SUVs – From $95 to/from airport plus 15% – $65/hr plus 20% (3 hr min)
- Stretch Limos – $75/hr plus 20% (3 hr minimum, 4 hrs on Saturdays)
- SUV Limos – $125/hr plus 20% (3 hr minimum, 4 hrs on Saturdays)
- Shuttle Buses – $95/hour plus 20% (3 hr minimum)
- Party Buses – $125-150/hr plus 20% – depending on which size (4 hr minimum)
