Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started off doing appointment setting and assisting work while study business technology in college over 10 years ago. I was offered a job to work for a tattoo artist. My love for the needle grew which lead to be being in a position to learn how to tattoo. I am also a serial entrepreneur so I seen the opportunity to grow from my clientele from my other ventures. I begin to invest money from my other businesses into learning semi permanent makeup which is also a form of tattooing. I choose eyebrows as a focus area because I am a brow lover.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The transition has been smooth being that I already had some knowledge and inherited resources to get started from working previously for a well known tattoo artist. The most difficult thing is getting the self confidence out there to start doing the work. I kept wanting perfection so I was practicing and practicing before gaining the nerve to finally provide services.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a semi permanent makeup & tattoo artist. I specialize in microshading && ombre powdered eyebrow technique. I also prefer to only do small to medium black & white tattoos. I am mostly known for working at Designer Skinz by Rose Ron. I have very unique tattoo style and my art work I have collaborated with Ron for my own personal skin have been inspiration and or copied by many clients & unknown entities.
What are your plans for the future?
I am planning on growing the tattoo shop and my aesthetic business by combining event planning and influence for providing a whole new experience for tattoo enthusiasts as well as expanding the popularity of semi permanent makeup. Lash extensions took the world by storm and I’m hoping the same for ombre powdered eyebrows. Soon other inspiring artists will be able to gain knowledge and learn at the shop. We will also have a venue available while services can be provided.
