Today we’d like to introduce you to Morgan Bauman.
Morgan, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Raised in Houston, Texas, I began my education in professional skin care at Houston’s Aveda Institute in 2014, where I realized how important self-care, Ayurveda, natural skincare, and health and wellness practices really are. I excelled in my esthetics program, receiving a “12 Points of Difference” award for obtaining high marks in each point of the curriculum, graduating as the top student in my class.
Further culminating in my expertise, I have expanded my education in skin care techniques as well as makeup artistry and airbrushing courses to my comprehensive skin kit. It was always a dream of mine to be my own boss and to be in control of the services and products I offer to my clients. I wanted to build a life and a career that I didn’t have to take a vacation from and to have found that at 22 years old is not something I saw coming out of high school, but has been such an exhilarating and wonderful experience.
It has been the best year of my life so far and I very much look forward to the years ahead. Aside from skincare, I am a board member of a Houston-based non-profit organization, Inspiring HANDS, that benefits children and adults with mental and physical disabilities.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
My first year in business has been more than humbling. I have always had an incredibly strong work ethic when it came to anything I was passionate about and I have found, thanks to past experiences, that I am motivated the most when I work on my own. It can be hard turning my phone off after a long day at work, as I love that I can be so available to my clients, so I have learned that the work-life balance can be hard, but I’m sure we all deal with that on some level.
Working for other people was always a struggle for me, especially in this industry, and at times it has been very difficult and discouraging. Nevertheless, I am grateful for what those previous experiences have taught me, as they prepared me, and gave me the confidence to start out on my own and build something I truly love. Any mishap or negative experience up until this point has been a lesson and has only made me better at what I do.
It’s refreshing and certainly less stressful for me to know that any bumps or struggles that come my way, that I am 100 percent in control of deciding how they are dealt with. Along with most people in my industry, growing and maintaining a clientele could definitely be considered a struggle, but I have grown so much in my business as well as on a personal level over this past year that thankfully I’ve been lucky and determined enough to have seen not only maintained clientele, but also growth.

Specializing in corrective skin care, chemical peels, brow artistry and lash enhancements, makeup applications, face and body waxing. Well-known for firm and even facial massage pressure and creating custom, personalized home-care regimens, and professional treatment regimens. I am proud to not only provide customized, professional skin treatments and home-care recommendations, but also to consider each of my clients apart of the family.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I have so many ideas, plans and goals for Skincare by Morgan Nicole in the years to come. In just one year’s time, I have been able to expand my business and add higher-end services using modalities. I hope to bring in new treatments, a bigger studio, and at some point brand my own skincare line.

I am a devout client of Skincare by Morgan Nicole. She provides top quality skin care and products at a reasonable price point that truly work exactly how they are intended. In my opinion, her skill is unmatched and, at age 51, I have experienced a great number of facials. Her salon does not provide the typical trademark facial I’ve experienced elsewhere, but each one is customized to meet the individual clients needs which she understands may change each time. My skin has not looked this good since my early 20s and it’s all due to Morgan’s expertise!

Morgan is great, to be young in the spa industry can be challenging because I find that consumers look for the more experienced therapists and Morgan has proved that quality work and expertise knowledge can trump experience. She’s passionate about her craft and her energy is welcoming and friendly. She’s fluid and firm in her facial massage which is most important to me, anti aging !
