Hi Mya, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
I attended Prairie View A&M University, where I studied Communications and Marketing. I had no clue what I wanted to do with my degree. However, I knew that I wanted to be in a field that would allow me to be creative and free. During the covid lockdown, I was a junior in college. I knew graduation was slowly approaching, and it was time that I figured out what I wanted to do with my degree. After long nights of researching and self-reflection, I decided that digital marketing was something I was interested in. I created my Instagram page with no plan, just vibes. I wanted to treat it like a portfolio to put myself out there. To get my page running, I started doing free graphic designs. I am thankful for my family and friends that supported me because they allowed me to practice by creating different types of designs for them. As I started working on my craft, I began to fall in love with the process. I just knew this was something I could see myself doing post-graduation. Once I graduated in 2021, I had more than enough time to fully invest in myself. I took time to master new techniques within digital marketing and also expand my services. I love helping small businesses visually enhance their brands. I’m grateful for staying true to myself and sticking to my goal.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Honestly, growing your own business from the ground up is never easy. I struggled with finding my audience. I had to step out my comfort box and just keep posting. No matter how annoying I felt, taking the risk to post whatever work I have was the key.

I am a digital creator. I create graphic designs, build websites, manage social media accounts, create branding kits, and more. I am your one-stop shop for all things digital marketing. I am most proud of my growth. I started off with a minimalist/clean brand look, but now it looks more artsy, chaotic, and fun. I suffer with anxiety, so naturally my head is all over the place. However, working on designs is a healthy way to cope. It stops me from overthinking, and I pour most of my energy into the project. I am known for being down-to-earth yet genuinely professional at the same time.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
My professionalism has taken me a long way. Listening to my clients and being patient with them is important. Additionally, being detail oriented plays a role in my success as well because I make sure my clients get exactly what they ask for. My mission is to bring their vision to life.
