Meet Naomi Leday of Doll’N Pop

Today we’d like to introduce you to Naomi Leday.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Makeup has always been a big thing for me but lipstick and lip gloss puts the icing on the cake when I was a little girl I would run to the bathroom if I knew my mom was going to put on makeup just so that
I can watch and learn the basics it then led me to try mascara, eyeliner, lip gloss, etc. But, my mom & sister would call me “million dollar lips” (lol!) because I would always walk around with so much gloss on my lips it was so funny. Therefore, in January 2017, I told myself that I would keep this a secret from family and friends until I bring this vision to life a deadline was set immediately. I started coming up with names and colors for my brand to stand out, did lots of research purchased so many samples from different manufacturers to see exactly what I wanted to put out. In May 2017, that’s when I launched my luxury cosmetics line gained so much support from family and friends but in November 2017, I stopped promoting my business because I did not like the way it was going I wanted to do something a little different to gain different results, so re-branding was now my only option. In May 2018, I had re-launched in a more professional way I’ve now been offered so many opportunities to become a vendor for different events to get my name out to the world.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Being a single parent, full-time employee and small business owner is enough on one plate. You have to know how to separate it all and give time to each. For me, being consistent to my business its a lot of hard work there are some days, I don’t post content on my social feeds because I’m stuck on what to post to gain more customers another challenge I have faced was that I did not start my business with a business loan so that has limited a lot.

No, it has not been a smooth road but I am extremely grateful for the obstacles I have run into but never gave up.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up in Opelousas, Louisiana was very fun and country. I later moved to Beaumont, Texas where most of my growing up begins, I would enjoy my weekends being with my little family which is my mom and sister. I have always been a girly girl and loved to laugh at almost everything also love taking photos known to be very down to earth, carefree individual, and let’s not forget very outgoing. I WAS AND STILL IS THE LIFE OF THE PARTY!

In high school, I was a flagger and dancer Fridays nights was absolutely the best night because I knew part of the uniform was to put on makeup. I have always been known to carry myself like a nice little woman and keep myself up.

Appearance plays an IMPORTANT role in my life.
