Meet Natalie O. of Everly&Co in Midtown

Today we’d like to introduce you to Natalie O.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Well, Everly&Co all started as an idea I came up with back in March of 2018 after constantly going through a bad experience of shopping and not being able to find anything, feeling less confident leaving the stores of sizes that couldn’t fit, wasn’t available, or just didn’t look good on me. So, as the Founder & creator, I wanted to create a brand that celebrates women’s confidence, has various simple styles from the 70’s and 90’s but with a twist of modern-day. I then created an Instagram for it, and a couple of months later, it started to grow. My company went from 600 followers to 6k followers. From then on, we have built connections and strong relationships with other brands and influencers. We have a brand new debut collection coming out soon in December & we love every single person that loves our brand.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
At first, it wasn’t easy. Especially with the social media aspect. When we first put our selves out there, we had no idea if anyone would give us the time or day to know who we are or care. But, we decided to go for it anyway, knowing that our message represents who we are. We also had inventory changes as well. Sometimes, it is hard to not have a set location but since we’re only an online store in Houston, I believe that’s the best specialty part about it.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
Everly&Co is an online fashion company that has various 70’s and 90’s style combined that is also modern. I am the Founder, CEO and owner of the company. I make sure that we connect everyone on social media, finalize posts, updating inventory, and shoots. I’m always hands-on with everything. I do specialize in five years retail and in visual merchandising. I have also been a coffee barista for three. I am proud that we have not only grown as a clothing company, but a company who realizes mental health & self-care is important.

What were you like growing up?
I was the quiet one who loved to read, listen to music, write and collect fiction books and Teen Vogue magazines (when they used to be around). I loved cooking especially since I have been vegan for two years now and loves making vegan dishes. Now, I’m still in between quiet but more outgoing and adventurous person. I also check up on my team and make sure everyone is okay mentally and take them out to lunch, things like that.
