Meet Nekol Choo of Howze of Love

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nekol Choo.

Hi Nekol, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Howze of Love was born from a series of honest conversations between two people who were both tired of approaching dating without intention. In September 2025, Alan and I connected as two single individuals who had experienced the highs, lows, lessons, and mistakes that often come with relationships. As we spent more time talking, we realized that the conversations we were having about dating, healing, accountability, communication, and building healthy relationships were conversations many people in our community needed to hear.
Rather than keeping those discussions between ourselves, we decided to create a platform where we could share them openly. That’s how Howze of Love began. What started as candid conversations about our own experiences quickly evolved into a podcast and growing community centered around helping people navigate relationships with greater intention and self-awareness.
Professionally, I am a marketer and creative entrepreneur who has explored a variety of ventures throughout my career, while Alan brings a background in business and operations management. Despite our different professional paths, we share a passion for storytelling, personal growth, and creating meaningful impact in our community.
At the heart of Howze of Love is a simple belief: love wins. We want to see fewer broken homes, healthier relationships, and more people willing to have the tough conversations that often get avoided. Our goal isn’t to present ourselves as experts with all the answers, but as two people committed to learning, growing, and creating space for honest dialogue about love, relationships, and personal development.
Today, we’re continuing to grow the podcast and expand the Howze of Love platform into something much bigger than a show. Our vision is to build a community that inspires people to date intentionally, communicate better, heal from past experiences, and ultimately create stronger, healthier relationships that stand the test of time

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. Building a brand new platform from scratch in a world where there is no shortage of podcasts, content creators, and relationship advice can be challenging. One of the biggest struggles has been learning how to stand out while remaining authentic to who we are and the message we’re trying to share.

Like many creators, we’ve faced moments where growth felt slower than we’d hoped. It’s easy to get caught up in numbers, views, and followers, especially when social media often rewards trends and viral moments. However, from the beginning, we’ve been intentional about prioritizing quality over quantity. We didn’t want to create content just for clicks, we wanted to create meaningful conversations that genuinely impact people’s lives.

Another challenge has been balancing the demands of building a platform while maintaining our careers, personal lives, and the consistency required to grow an audience. Creating thoughtful content, recording episodes, engaging with the community, and developing a long-term vision all require a significant investment of time and energy.

Despite those challenges, we’ve learned that impact isn’t always measured by the size of an audience. While our growth has been organic and sometimes slower than expected, we’ve been encouraged by the community that’s forming around Howze of Love. We’ve received messages from people who felt seen, challenged, encouraged, or inspired by our conversations, and those moments remind us why we started.

Every challenge has reinforced our belief that the conversations we’re having matter. We’re building something with purpose, and while the road hasn’t always been easy, it’s been incredibly rewarding to see even a small community begin embracing healthier conversations around dating, relationships, and love.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Professionally (in my corporate life) I am a marketing manager working in tech. I enjoy being my expertise of authentic storytelling to the marketing world. I am most proud of the impact I make every day helping to solve unique challenges every day….similar to what we do with the Howze of Love podcast.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
