Today we’d like to introduce you to Nena Metcalf.
Metcalf Fine Art Portraits is owned by award winning photographer, Nena Metcalf along with an amazing support team. The studio is located in the beautiful River Oaks Shopping Center.
Nena is a Michigan native who followed her love back to his home state of Texas. Since starting her portrait business in 2009, they have had the pleasure of working with many of Houston’s finest families. Creating a reputation for beautiful and high-quality work, Nena has been able to enjoy the creative and business side of running the studio.
Nena is a mother of four children, three dogs and although not a Houston native by birth, she enjoys spending time and serving in the Houston community.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There are always challenges in business. The good thing is, with proper support, mentorship, and education, all can be overcome. We have been incredibly blessed to get to where we are!

Our art is meticulously curated to present our clients with a portrait that belongs in a prominent place in your home.
