Today we’d like to introduce you to Nineaux.
Nineaux, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I started making music at 14 years old. I use to see my dad’s friends making beats and performing at shows with UGK, ESG, Z-Ro, and the Geto Boys. I started working with FL Studio and learning how to make beats and doing what’s called DIY (Do It Yourself) productions. I just released my first album on all music streaming platforms called “All About Respect Vol.1”. I’m working on other artists’ projects and a Vol.2 for All About Respect.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It hasn’t been a smooth road, but that’s what comes with it. With this digital age of music, is all about quantity over quality. You could be hot one day and a nobody the next. I’m a “fly against the wall” type of person. I like to be on the scene sometimes, but I like to duck off and leave the scene to study my craft and make music. But I keep pushing because it’s fun to do and I like to get paid for it. My pops always told me that you gotta love the game before you get paid for it.
Please tell us about Nineaux Productions.
My company is Nineaux Productions. I sell beats and help write songs with people. I also have a collective that’s called “Camping Szn.” They are people who write songs, make beats, and create videos for people in Houston. I’m proud of just doing what I love to do and having fun with it. I love to create and that’s what I like. My production stands out because it’s authentic and raw. I know that everything sounds the same, but it’s time for a change with the music.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I wish I could learn that consistently is key before and you gotta be confident at any and everything you do. Don’t let those negative people put you down when you are greater than them because they use your insecurities to go against you and it becomes you vs. you. Don’t pay attention to that and keep doing you and be yourself. 💯 Go out and be different!
