Today we’d like to introduce you to Nolan Holland.
Nolan, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
DeNovo came to Spring in May 2015 in hopes of being the new hometown favorite coffee spot. We opened with a bang and did just that. We were an immediate hit! After a few internal adversities, we took a pretty substantial hit from the community and lost some customers. After overcoming many adversities, a couple of manager changes (ending with a move to a manager/owner from Spring), a full menu reboot, we are back on the grind and winning over our community once again!
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?

-Lawsuit with McDonald’s over our drive-thru blocking their entrance.
-Losing the support of the community, then regaining it.
-Always being compared to and in the shadow of Starbucks.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about DeNovo Coffee – what should we know?
First and foremost we are known for having outstanding coffee. Our group of regular customers tells us on a weekly basis how they are so happy to have good and fast coffee!
Second is our speed. We have a double drive-thru system in order to get customers in and out as quickly as possible. This is especially helpful for our early morning workers on their daily commute!
Last but definitely not least is our customer service. When hiring employees, we take a great deal in the considering how they talk to the interviewer. How they communicate with them is most likely how they will communicate with a customer they have never met before.
We go out of our way to create a relationship with our customers. Our morning crews get so close to our customers that we know them by name and their drink before they even get to the window!
