Meet Oslynn Foy of Your Luxury Travel Agent

Today we’d like to introduce you to Oslynn Foy.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Oslynn. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I have been a travel agent since 1999, and I recently followed my heart and opened my own agency in 2017.  I’m also a Wife, Mom, Sister, Daughter, Friend and CEO. Travel has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I recall fondly the black and& white, then Polaroid, pictures of my parents and their many beautiful travels. They never hesitated to sign me up for out -of -state field trips.  Even my teachers at John H. Vohr Elementary in Gary, Indiana always looked for opportunities to expose us to new experiences.  This was all that I knew. It was their way of planting beautiful seeds in us. They made sure we were Always Learning, Always Growing.

As a young girl, I was able to fly alone to Haiti to spend the summer with family, I stayed another summer in Hawaii visiting my sister and cruised in the Caribbean with my best friend… all before high school.  I didn’t know at the time, however, they were shaping me to be who I am today. That “tickle” of excitement that was planted inside of me is the same energy I pull from to encourage clients to step outside of their box and GO! LIVE NOW!

Today, I continue what I saw through my little girl eyes… to never stop learning and growing.  I tell my clients all of the time, “There is a Big Beautiful World just waiting to meet YOU.” With the support of my wonderful husband of 20 years, I have been able to travel the world.  My oldest son RJ and youngest son/ “business partner,” Rion (15 yrs. old), have even traveled with me to tour luxury family resorts to give their perspectives. Their comments have been an invaluable tremendous benefit when making recommendations to my family travelers.  

Even with so many changes in the travel industry, there is still an overwhelming request for service, experience and peace of mind that you can only get from working directly with someone who truly has a vested interest in YOU.  It’s the relationships. We don’t book trips… we create experiences and build relationships.

I appreciated the opportunity to have the door opened for me many years ago. Today I get to pay it forward and do the same.  I have been able to open the door and build a team with 5 professional business women in their own right, with hearts of gold.  They Get It! This is not a sales agency, it’s a service agency where our time and clients’ time is valued. My main requirement is that they enjoy being a blessing to others and giving our clients experiences of a lifetime.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I have enjoyed this beautiful journey!

I began to feel a nudge inside to do more.  So, after many years of truly enjoying the same work environment, I decided to move out of that comfort zone.  And with nothing but love in my heart… walk away. The aftermath was not expected and I didn’t understand at the time, however, it turned out to be the best that could have ever happened personally and professionally.  It was all worth it to have my clients and vendors simply ask… “What took you so long?”.

Your Luxury Travel Agent – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
We specialize in Luxury Caribbean and European Vacation destinations. Destination Weddings/Honeymoons/Adult and Family travel.

Our goal is simple, to offer unforgettable experiences for travelers to see the world. You can think of us more as Travel Translators.  We give our clients what they want, but also listen between the lines and add in what they really need. By encouraging our clients to LIVE NOW, we take a tremendous amount of pride in their trust in our ability to create memories that will last a lifetime.  

We are not the behind the desk waiting for the phone to ring agents nor do we have regular office hours.  We remain flexible to meet the needs of todays traveler. As the owner, I have made The World Is My Office. By intention I travel many times a year to connect with different suppliers and hoteliers to ensure that our clients are getting the best and most up to date options destinations have to offer.

Many times, I will talk with a client while working from an airport VIP lounge, on a beach bed, poolside or even while conducting hotel inspections. I like to forward pictures while touring the properties so clients can get a true glimpse of what they have to look forward to. My personal destination contacts make such a difference. These special relationships that have been built over many years allow us to sleep at night knowing our clients are in the best of hands. And we are only a phone call away.

One resort staff member asked, “When are your days off?” My reply… “never.” “When are you on vacation?” (With a smile)… “Always.” Again, “I Get To Do What I Love Because I Love What I Do for You.”

I am most proud of our repeat clients and referrals. This is always a confirmation that we are doing it right and they appreciate the time, research and love that is put into each and every experience I create.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
My definition of success is “Getting To Do What You Love and Loving What You Do.”.

The World is Truly My Office!  I wake every day knowing that I get a chance to make a difference. Whether it’s their 1st trip ever or a client that travels several times a year,. I get excited and feel blessed to have the opportunity to be of service to them. It’s a mutual respect for each other’s time and my ability to exceed their expectations.
