Today we’d like to introduce you to Pamela Flores.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Pamela. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started as just a one person show. No idea I was even “opening a business.” In fact I didn’t have a business degree, I just opened up a booth rental suite inside Posh Salons in The Woodlands, TX. I had the mindset that I loved to do makeup, eyelash extensions and body sugaring. I was in a very small room about an 8 X 8 to be exact.
I had a pop up tent that I could fold up and put under my table and a collapsible massage table that I could switch out when I had a client that needed eyelash extensions.
I was at Posh Salons for about 4 years moving into larger and larger rooms as I grew. I had one of the biggest suites when I decided it was time to move out and start my very own venture where I hired employees, had a membership eyelash program and just had so many clients that I really didn’t know what to do with! It was such a huge blessing!!
I moved and hired on two other girls, in the meantime I was presented an offer to purchase an airbrush tanning salon that wasn’t really making ends meet (in The Heights). So, I jumped on it and looked for a larger place to call home in The Heights area.
I have an amazing landlord in my Heights location that really helped me get started by offering me the store front that we still call home! It’s just an AMAZING area of town and I am so grateful to be where I am now because of all the people that have come into my life to help me along my journey!
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?

There’s no such thing as a smooth road – struggle and criticisms are prerequisites for greatness. That’s the law of this universe and no one escapes it! (Prince Ea)
I have been through it all from employees stealing, getting sued, people who we were just NOT able to make happy… ETC
The main thing I have to tell myself is to keep going – there will be hurdles, struggles and frustration. I have faced off with so many road blocks and in EXACTLY one month we will have been open for EXACTLY 10 YEARS! woo hoo!
What an accomplishment and gratitude…. there’s so much gratitude for everyone who helps make this dream a reality!

What were you like growing up?
I was determined. When someone told me no, I said yes. I wouldn’t take no for an answer and I still don’t.
I will try anything, I will dive in, I have always had a “go-getter” type personality. I have always been into self-growth and I believe the moment I am not growing, learning and striving to achieve is the day I am dead.
