Today we’d like to introduce you to Pankti Sharma.
Hi Pankti, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I came to the United States 11 years ago as a student to fulfill my dreams. I completed my Bachelor’s of Science in Biology and Masters in Logistics and Supply Chain. I am currently working as a Manager at a Retail Distribution Center in Houston, Texas. My life took a turn when I met my husband in the year 2014. He is the motivation in my life and my mentor. He influences me in every way possible. He motivated me to pursue a career in Real Estate and today I am a Real Estate agent in Texas. We are blessed with a beautiful 9-month-old daughter. I considered myself a humble and very dynamic personality who will go out of the way to make sure my clients receive the best service and informed decision-making advice.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I have always been a dreamer. However, dreams will come true with the right vision. My vision was sharpened after meeting my husband, this vision eventually gave wings to my dreams. As rosy it may sound, the journey of being what I am today was not a cakewalk. Being an immigrant in the United States with little to no financial support me and my husband finally got down to the same goal of making it big. 2019-2021 were the toughest years of our lives. We were heavily invested in real estate and the difficulties of turning around properties haunted us for one and half years. Properties sitting on the market longer than expected were eating up on our calculated profits, and paying contractors and lenders was the biggest hassle. But our determination and decision to not give up kept us afloat. During this downtime, we decided to keep ourselves motivated and that’s when we decided to have another source of income and have a realtor’s license for the household. By the time I was midway through the licensing exams I was happily surprised to be pregnant. It was easy to get distracted and give up. But the determination was so strong that.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I do not completely believe in luck but I would say that I was lucky to meet my husband, after which my perspective towards life has changed completely. He is my mentor and has guided me at every step of my life.
