Today we’d like to introduce you to Paul Arguelles.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Paul. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started about twelve years ago as an apprentice electrician for a large company in Houston. I learned very quickly as I decided that this is what I wanted to do as my career and gave it my very all. I moved up quickly and absorbed any knowledge available to me. I would buy books on my own and study on my time my small children would be sleeping at night while I studied y books trying to give my children a better life and the option to help me run a business in the future. As time passed I moved around to learn different aspects of the trade in my career I did lease space build outs, bucket truck work and obtained my CDL license to drive aerial trucks I then went on to do service work for another company where I would go on and troubleshoot electrical problems then I achieved my Journeyman’s license and two years later I obtained my Master’s license I then worked for an electrical shop as an estimator and then that company closed and I then went to open Paul Richard Electric.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has been a smooth road because I was determined and dedicated in my pursuit of reaching the top. I had some hard bosses along the way but that is what made me more refined in being the best. So with that you did a great job guys at being so strict and always expecting 100% along the way.

What were you like growing up?
I was self-motivated, very quick learner, I would break down my radio and figured out why a tape deck would work and how the pieces worked together to play a cassette tape.
