Today we’d like to introduce you to Paula Molero Sanchez.
Hi Paula, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve always been connected to the beauty world for as long as I can remember. My grandmother worked in a beauty salon, and thanks to her I was exposed to everything from hair and nails to makeup at a very young age. That environment helped me become creative and passionate about beauty early on.
In 2017, after having my first daughter, I decided to take that passion more seriously. Makeup became more than just a hobby for me, it became a creative outlet and something that truly made me happy. I started studying makeup, practicing constantly, and sharing my work on Instagram through lives and creative makeup content. At that time, everything around me revolved around beauty because it was something I genuinely loved doing.
Around 2018, I officially started working with clients and brides, and that’s when my passion became my career. Since then, I’ve continued growing, learning, and building myself professionally in the beauty industry.
As an immigrant, starting over teaches you a lot about yourself. It pushes you to work hard, adapt, and believe in what you are capable of achieving. For me, beauty has not only been a career, but also a way to connect with people, help them feel confident, and create meaningful experiences for my clients.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t always been a completely smooth road, but honestly, it’s been a journey I’ve truly enjoyed and learned from. Building a career in the beauty industry takes time, patience, and consistency. In the beginning, things don’t always happen the way you imagine, and success definitely doesn’t come overnight. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is to trust the process, keep improving, and stay focused even during slower seasons.
As an immigrant and a mom, balancing personal life while growing a business from scratch was also a challenge at times. There were moments of uncertainty, self-doubt, and exhaustion, especially while trying to build a name for myself in such a competitive industry. But those challenges also helped me grow stronger, more disciplined, and more confident in my work.
The beauty industry is constantly evolving, especially now with social media, filters, and artificial intelligence influencing what people see and expect. Sometimes it creates unrealistic standards or makes people compare themselves to things that are not even real. Because of that, I’ve learned the importance of staying authentic, continuing to educate myself, and helping my clients feel confident in their own beauty instead of chasing perfection.
At the end of the day, every challenge has taught me something valuable, and I believe growth comes from staying passionate, adaptable, and committed to what you truly love doing.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a professional makeup artist and hairstylist specializing mainly in bridal beauty, soft glam, and elegant hairstyling. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work not only with brides and private clients, but also with artists and personalities in the television and entertainment industry, which has helped me grow both creatively and professionally.
One thing I’m most proud of is being able to create an experience for my clients, not just a makeup look. Especially with brides and on-camera work, I understand how important it is for someone to feel confident, comfortable, and still look like themselves. I always try to bring calm energy, professionalism, and attention to detail to every appointment.
I’m also very passionate about continuing to learn and evolve creatively. Besides bridal work, I enjoy creating beauty content, teaching, and sharing my knowledge through social media and classes. Beauty has always been more than makeup to me — it’s a form of art, confidence, and connection.
I think what sets me apart is the balance between artistry and authenticity. I care a lot about skin texture, details, and creating looks that photograph beautifully but also look beautiful in real life. My goal has always been to enhance natural beauty rather than completely change someone, and to make every client feel genuinely cared for throughout the experience.
Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
As a creative person, I get a lot of inspiration from social media platforms like Instagram, Pinterest, and TikTok. They help me stay updated with beauty trends, techniques, fashion, photography, and creative ideas. I also enjoy watching educational content and masterclasses from other artists in the beauty industry because I believe there is always something new to learn.
I love using social media not only for inspiration but also as a way to connect with people and share my own creativity and experiences. Over the years, I’ve learned that growth in this industry comes from constantly evolving, practicing, and staying open to new ideas.
Outside of beauty, I also enjoy listening to motivational content and podcasts about personal growth, discipline, and entrepreneurship. One person whose content I really enjoy is Ismael Cala, especially his perspective on mindset, growth, and life experiences.
