Today we’d like to introduce you to Pharon Lemon.
Pharon, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Well I have always loved to clean and help people. So about two years ago, I decided to turn my passion of cleaning into a business. I’ve had always been curious about having my own business also and two years ago, I just did it!!! I’m glad, I did it has been a true learning experience. A lot of self-taught learning but I love what I do. I love seeing my customers smile after seeing how clean their home is and knowing their happy with the service I provided.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The most challenging part of this journey was just believing in myself and to stop doubting myself so much. It can be a little scary running your own business. Like will I fail, Am I’m doing this right or will my customers like me and my work. But all you can do is do your very best and to trust in your yourself. Don’t allow fear to hold you back from your goals & dreams.
Miss Lemon Maids – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
My business is Miss Lemon Maids which specialized in house cleaning and office cleaning. We are minority female-owned. We offer discounts to clients who sign up for long term services, we take $5 off customers cleaning session for referrals, we have low rates, we have Senior citizens discounts and we also offer laundry services, we’re open for Saturday appointments and recently started offering carpet cleaning and upholstery services. What I’m most proud of is our customer’s satisfaction.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
I think success is waking up in the morning doing what you enjoy and being able to support yourself doing what you love but most importantly making your customer’s life’s a little better by providing great service.
