Today we’d like to introduce you to Pro C.
Pro C., let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
It all started in middle school. Me & my boy Dallas D would be at the lunch table, beating on the table with a few friends. Those were the times when we could say anything and didn’t really care when the principal on stage constantly told us to quit. I didn’t actually make my first song until KeiKei Island put me on the mic In my 9th Grade. Through the years I met various people including Wickett Crickett at my first show. Also, YBN Almighty Jay when he Stayed in my neighborhood and used to come to my house daily and record out my garage. I made it this far, through hard work and networking.
Has it been a smooth road?
Na, it hasn’t been a smooth road. Cause it’s more to it than music. Trying to balance music and real life is a struggle. These streets aren’t anything nice they’ll chew you up and spit you out if you let them. I’ve had times where I just wanted to give up on all the music. But the people on my side keep telling me to push, cause they think I’m going to make it. Especially when I had my son, that changed the whole game for me. Because not only is it me I have to worry about, but my Lil Jr too. Everything to the side you just have to make up in your mind that you aren’t going to let your doubters make their statement true, you feel me? With that being said, I’m going to show them I can do what they said I can’t.
We’d love to hear more about your business.
Me, I’m Just an artist in the group. I Used to record a lot of people to have their music sound legit, cause my sound was almost the best in the county. Then letting other people around in my stuff I really wasn’t getting anything done for me so I just stopped and became a full-time artist. Timber Money Gang Is a Label even though it sounds like its just a gang. We make clothes such as jackets, shirts, etc. whatever can put a buck in our pocket. Yet me personally, I’m really just known as the knucklehead from the hood that was riding on swangas at the age of 15 that decided to rap. That’s what I can say bout myself, Dickinson can tell you the rest.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Success to me is a lot of money. That’s all I really want. I’m not a cloud chaser I’m not always looking for attention like these other dudes. Dudes want to beef with everyone to have that name, yet have $0 in their pocket. I had to realize that helping everyone else get on was draining me. So I started worrying about me. If it doesn’t make dollars then it don’t make sense
