Today we’d like to introduce you to Pucca Scotty.
Pucca, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I started making music around seven years old. Was singing in church and eventually found my way to varsity choir in school as an alto. My first Instruments were percussion, pretty much every instrument on the Drumline I played. At the same time I found a major interest in Guitar/Drum set and found myself reading music and learning by ear mostly. Played these instruments going on 13+ years including today. In 2012 I found an interest more in music production or “making beats”. A friend of mine showed me how to use FL Studio 7 and I couldn’t stop from there. I then learned how to DJ from there so I could play my own music at the parties & I loved mixing different genres together. I started incorporating live instruments into my music production. I also went to college for Audio Engineering and Music Production at Full Sail University. Present-day, I now am basically a one Woman band. I play everything, record my own vocals, write my own music, mix & master, make the beat, DJ, market the song & create events all by myself. I also built my own studio from the ground up named “PS STUDIOS” located on the southwest side of Houston. It is currently under construction while I’m working out here with a few industry artists in Ohio. Through my whole career of music so far I’ve worked with or been around some very important people and have a few big names on my back and rooting for me in the industry. I’ve learned so much and learned how to weed out the BS and show that I’m only about business and professionalism.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It definitely has not been a smooth road in this business. It’s more about who you know and how hard you’re willing to work. I want to say 80% business and 20% talent. I’ve had to sleep on the floor and from couch to couch at times to work and get to where I needed to be. It comes with a lot of BS people who say they can do stuff for you or want to be around you for the clout but have nothing to offer in the end. If you want to be taken seriously, you have to act like YOU are the business and treat yourself as such. I had to learn that the hard way because i’m so passionate about my music. Overall I learned many things, and it has got me to a good place in my career now.

I have to give most of the credit to my mother, who I got my musical talent and business mind from. She has been an entrepreneur all of her life singing and running it as a business for 40+ years. I want to give credit to my music teacher as well, Frank my guitar teacher. I want to give credit last to my friend of years who first introduced me to Beat production, Chase Winters.
