Jlissa, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Hello, my name is Jlissa, born and raised in Houston, Texas where I have always been into the beauty industry since a young age. As a child, my family would dress me up as their life-size Barbie and I enjoyed everything about it. As I got older my passion for beauty turned into my career where I launched my accessories line first in June 2017. I, then, later added hair extensions and lashes in December 2017 for the women who love to look like a queen yet are on a budget. Queenish Waze is here to assist our queens to start Queening in the right direction! I’m a public influencer who was featured on Barcroft tv born different show in February of 2019.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Having a business has not always been a smooth road. It’s actually a struggle every day due to it’s a lot of competitors in the hair game. You have to think outside of the box to try to grab your audience attention. You will have your good days and you will have your bad days.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the QueenishWaze Design hair and Accessories story. Tell us more about the business.
My business is for hair extensions and selling accessories. I sell my products through social media and now, it’s looking to learn how to grab attention from outside of it as well. I’m a unique individual who was born without any arms that has a smile big as Houston, Texas, that’s what sets me apart from other hair extensions entrepreneurs.
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
