Today we’d like to introduce you to Rev. Jacilet Griffin.

Rev. Jacilet, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
After my Son Evan Griffin-Lee was Murdered in 2022, Started to reach out to every Stare/local/federal Officials. I turn my pain into total purpose by Author House Bill 2234 – Historically passed the house unanimously. Becoming one of the strongest Advocates Nationwide for Justice Reform, from Houston to White house DOJ – Speaking for crime victims and Death in Custody Act. Evans story went viral several times and caused a voice for change Nationwide. As a Minister my voice resonated for truthful change!! Becoming an Advocate for families incarcerated Nationally and being a liason between Legislation and the Community for Civil Rights and respecting the United States Constitution. However, escorting families in court to help with resources and educate on their cases to the full extent of the laws. Therefore, we all will have a fare day in court and free will of all defendants fairness for TOTAL PURPOSE OF JUSTICE.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Facing 4 years no Justice/closure/Answers for my son Evan’s demise. Totally devastated after, loosing my job on my son’s 1 year angelversary, that caused me to be facing homeless circumstances. As of today unemployment outweigh my vision but I continue on with help from my Church community and fellow family members. This struggle for Justice has made my road very difficult as a crime victim. No support from Crime victims compensation at all. The road is very rocky with facing health challenges due to the murder of my son. As we face my son’s Birthday 11/9, my heart breaks over and over.. However, I will continue to advocate for those affected and cannot speak for themselves.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?

This organization has became one of our community most influential groups to leaders for Media answers/ Local and state agencies to help improve outcomes of many bills, The testimonials for many bills and connecting to many remote meetings weekly with Congress members nationwide for change .

How do you think about happiness?
It makes me happy to see our community happy and functional. It is very healthy to smile and be comfortable within self. I bring positive energy to my surroundings always. I believe it cost nothing to smile and make the room full of joy. When you feel sad or send negative vibes, it causes wrinkles in your face and Calais on your heart sending waves of discomfort and pain. A balanced life with laughter is healthy years. I”t’s harder to frawn than to smile”. The word of God says ‘ Romans 15:13
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy spirit you may abound in hope.
