Today we’d like to introduce you to Richard Rodriguez.
Richard, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I became the Sr. Pastor of Christian Life Center in June of 1989. I had no experience. This was the only church I have ever been the pastor of. At that time our congregation had approximately 20 members. Since then with determination, goals and a small group of people catching the vision we grew to have a church with over 2,000 people contributing to the ministry every year. In approximately 1992 we opened the Christian School with about 15 students. Our first year we had one student graduate. Since that time the School has become an international school with record attendance around 300. Some of our graduates include NBA star DeAndre Jordan of the LA Clippers, Ben McLemore Sacramento Kings and Other professional athletes in the NBA, Houston Dynamo and other professional teams around the world. Today the church school and childcare centers are located in Kingwood Texas and it continues to grow and reach our community.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The early years were tough. When we became the pastors of the church the balance in the bank was .10 cents and the bill were high. The building was in poor condition with roof leaks etc. Today the corporation has become a multimillion dollar corporation with as many as 60 employees at one time
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Christian Life Center – what should we know?
We are a Church, School, and child care center. Our church has become known for some of the amazing prophecies that have taken place here such as the one In July 22nd, 2005, Prophet Kim Clement prophesied the Katrina Hurricane a month before it took place. He mentioned the flood, the month in which it would happen, the fact that the water would be to the roof tops and bodies would be floating on the water, etc. https://youtu.be/9Gv3p7-FHVQ
The school has become known for its many professional athletes approximately 7 of our students went on the play with the NBA another ten or so play professionally in other countries. Some of our former students are doctors, Chief Financial officers, Actors and Actresses and professional assistants just to mention a few. Today the school is an international school with students from all over the world.
The childcare center is known for its experienced managers and good care for children.

No one accomplishes this alone. One of our basketball coaches was NBA star Rafer Alston who played for the Houston Rockets as well as other NBA teams. Assistant Pastor the late Euginia Crone was a major contributor to the ministries success. My Wife Lisa is my strength. My children have all grown here and worked here, Richard A. Rodriguez, Erin Rodriguez, Joshua and His wife Brittany Rodriguez and Ashton Rodriguez.
