Today we’d like to introduce you to Rick Leviton.
Rick, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Starting in business in 1990 as a part-time venture. The business struggle to about 1997 when I decided to go full fledge in full time into this business. Purchased a van had it logoedi out and started increasing business I started this venture as a part-time side business not realizing the potential that I could make it for the future. Turn the pages to 2017 we have two divisions one is in home child safety managed by Robert Thompson. The other operation is outside pool safety pool safety fences covers and nets operated and managed by Stephen Street. We run a total of 17 service trucks in the Houston Texas area. We have since migrated out of Texas and open up joint ventures in Florida, Georgia, Santa Cruz California, Seattle Washington, Oklahoma, and many other cities. Today we are still growing within Euston and outside of Texas My company strives itself on using quality commercial grade products, we stay away from store-bought items.
Has it been a smooth road?
The first few years were all part time and a struggle to keep this business growing. It’s never a smooth road but we try to do the best we can. With the Internet and a few Internet sites out there selling child safety products it’s hard to compete. When you look on the Internet it looks all the same until you get the product in your hand. That is one of our biggest selling points clients think that they’re getting a quality product ordering it online and when I get it honestly its garbage. We come in with a quality lasting product and do it right the first time. One of the other biggest obstacles that we have come across is the handyman saying they know how to childproof. We are a licensed insured child safety company, this is all we do. We do not do handyman work and handyman should not be doing child safety work we’ve had to take down replace and repair many handyman’s work we’ve actually had a child that got injured due to a handyman not installing properly

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love the growth and the people in our city. My business is work but we have fun at it. What I dislike about our city is the traffic. Our city has grown almost double in size but our roads have stayed the same in size.
