

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rick Nizol.
Rick, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Dynamic Solutions opened for business in 2007. This was a huge leap of faith for me. It all began when I became unemployed from my job as lead technician and service manager at a local auto repair shop. To put it simply, business just wasn’t doing well there. Financially, times were really hard! My wife and I were already struggling to make ends meet while also raising two teenage daughters. Cars are my passion but to be honest I had every intention of finding a new way of living. I didn’t want to fix cars anymore. I was tired and physically it’s very hard on your body. Luckily I had several customers that followed me wherever I worked. To make money while being unemployed I did side jobs in my driveway at home. It didn’t take long for that to get out of hand. I needed a bigger space so I used every dime we had, or didn’t have, to start my own business in a small, two bay shop with one lift. Within a few short years I found myself needing even more space, so I took another leap of faith by moving to a much larger shop and hiring a few employees. To this day I’m still at that shop. I have a great group of employees, including my oldest daughter who manages the office. I’m very blessed to have dedicated employees and faithful customers, who in several ways are just like family to me.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has in no way been a smooth road. Every day is a learning experience when it comes to owning a business. There’s so much involved that I could have never imagined the amount of detail that actually goes into running your own business. It was a huge shock going from technician to business owner. Like anyone, I make mistakes and then I learn from them. The key is to love what you do and really care about the people who make your business a possibility.
Dynamic Solutions Auto Repair – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Dynamic Solutions is a full automotive and light truck repair/service facility. We specialize in all makes and models including foreign, domestic, classic and even fleet services. We take so much pride in what we do and we are known best for the honesty we give our customers. It’s no secret that when it comes to auto repair, honesty is hard to find. Our customers know that they are in good hands and trust the work that we do on their vehicles. We are going to do anything we can to make sure our customers get the best possible deal. We are not the cheapest in automotive repair and we are certainly not the most expensive. In this line of business, word of mouth is everything. If you take care of your customers they will let others know. It’s a win for everyone.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
One of my proudest, and very unexpected career moments was when my oldest daughter took interest in this business. She has helped tremendously by getting our office up to speed with technology and presentation. I’m an old school guy and very set in my ways. I’ve never done any form of advertisement, other than by word of mouth. Jessica helped me open up to other forms of exposure and has shown me how positive that can be. Together we have made a lot of changes that I wouldn’t have thought to do on my own. Just this year we created a new business logo, website and completely renovated our office area.
