Today we’d like to introduce you to Ricky McNeal.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Ricky McNeal is the founder and CEO of Generation 25,
a nonprofit dedicated to leadership development and
mentoring the next generation. A native of Jonesboro, LA,
Ricky now resides in Beaumont, TX. He has built a
successful career over the past 11 years as former Associate
Director for AT&T Retail, where he has honed his
expertise in leadership and people development. Ricky’s
true passion lies in empowering others, fostering growth,
and creating meaningful change. “I made the decision to take my leadership expertise and intentionally invest it into the next generation. Stepping out on faith, I founded a nonprofit from the ground up with a clear purpose: to prepare future generations for leadership, life, and impact. This journey is about more than programs it’s about mentorship, character development, and creating pathways for young people to discover their potential, use their voice, and lead with purpose.
Through Generation 25,
he is committed to strengthening communities and
serving as a voice and advocate for future generations.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Starting a brand or organization is never easy. What I’ve learned through this journey is that it requires patience, perseverance, and a willingness to learn through trial and error. Every decision matters, especially when you’re building something meant to serve people. It’s not about me it’s about being intentional with the time and opportunities in front of me and making sure each step creates real impact. I approach this work one day at a time, always asking myself if the decisions I’m making align with the outcome and purpose I’m called to fulfill.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
My advice for finding a mentor or building meaningful connections is to first be clear about your purpose and stay genuine. The best mentors often come through relationships, not requests. What has worked well for me is showing up consistently, being teachable, and adding value wherever I can without expecting anything in return. I’ve learned that networking isn’t about collecting contacts; it’s about building trust. When you lead with integrity, humility, and service, the right people naturally begin to invest in you and walk alongside you.
