Hi Ritza, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I picked up a camera at age 10, starting with a Polaroid long before the days of fancy editing. I often talked about launching a photography business but faced many challenges. Eight years ago, losing my mother gave me a new perspective on life. I began taking steps towards becoming a professional photographer, all while juggling a 9-to-5 and being a single mother. With the support of my family and friends, my photography business flourished.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The path wasn’t smooth, especially when clients judged talent by social media followers, and I lacked a strong portfolio as I had just launched my business.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Rivee Visions Photography ?
I specialize in capturing creative, nature, and Wedding Elopement photography.
I gained recognition through my participation in the Botanical Art Show with Hardy & Nance Studios. I successfully sold some of my street photography there, and the buyer, a member of the local Houston band Jumprope, made it a memorable experience. Receiving compliments from many artists, including Chris, the owner of Insomnia Gallery, was especially rewarding. He personally invited me to consider future opportunities to showcase my work in his gallery.
Embracing my authentic self has enabled me to capture the genuine essence of my clients, even the youngest, in photographs. I’m particularly proud when clients trust me to capture significant milestones and recommend me to their family and friends.
My lifelong passion for photography drives me to prioritize delivering cherished photos. I aim to capture love, kindness and happiness in each session, offering clients a piece of happiness that transcends mere photographs. RiVee Visions is celebrated for bringing clients visions to life.
Any big plans?
Future goals involve owning a studio, writing a children’s book, and studying both interior and fashion design. So, big changes are on the horizon for RiVee Visions!
