Today we’d like to introduce you to Robert Gruener Jr.
Robert, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
My father helped me start the business in 1984 and was located one mile west of FM 529 and FM 359. In 1989, I moved the business to Katy located at 5330 E 5th Street.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It has not been easy. Just because you know how to do something well doesn’t mean you can run a business.
Please tell us about Autotechtronics By Robert.
We are an automotive service and repair facility. We do all types of repairs mechanical and electrical. We are known for being able to fix the cars other shops can’t. We do a lot of diagnostic work for other shops. We have the equipment that other shops don’t have, especially when it comes to computer programming.
I also co-host a radio show on 700 KSEV, The Car Doctor Radio Show.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I would have taken more management classes in the beginning.
