Robert, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
While working as a manager at a geotechnical engineering firm, I started pressure washing for friends and neighbors on the weekends. After doing some research, and seeing how much extra money it was bringing in, I decided to start my own pressure washing company, and perform pressure washing full time.
I started off with a small store bought pressure washer, and a $1,000 van. I now have a fleet of trucks and trailers with commercial grade pressure washing equipment that can perform pressure washing for the largest projects.
We service all of the Houston and surrounding areas, and have even performed larger commercial projects located in Austin, Galveston, and other far distance areas.

This is what has kept Kingwood Pressure Washing going since 2010, and what will keep us going for decades to come.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
With any business, there are going to be bumps in the road. The biggest hurdle I seem to have is finding good help.
We give extensive training to all employees when they are hired, and have programs that provide continuing education as employee’s progress.
Many employees, once trained, feel they can start their own pressure washing company with the skills they have learned while employed with Kingwood Pressure Washing. What they don’t know and understand is all the behind the scenes work that has to be performed, and money spent. Advertising, insurance, repair bills, and equipment replacement are just some of the obstacles.
I have seen many fly by night companies come and go because they do not understand what it takes to make a business truly successful.
Kingwood Pressure Washing – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
At Kingwood Pressure Washing, we perform Pressure Washing, Power Washing, Soft Washing, Roof Cleaning, Window Washing, Graffiti Removal and Gutter Cleaning. This does not set us apart from many of the other pressure washing companies around, What does set us apart is our customer service and quality work.
Unlike the other companies, we do not try to rush the projects we do. We take our time with our cleaning, and we make sure the project is performed right the first time.
As a pressure washing business owner, I take pride is taking something dirty, and making is nice and clean again. The smile and comments I get from our clients makes it all worth the while.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
What is success? I believe success is not something that can measured. You can’t measure success in the amount of money you make, the size of your company, the size of the house you live in, or the type of vehicle you drive.
I guess if you had to measure success, it would have to be measured by the pleasure you bring your clients. And with that being said, I feel Kingwood Pressure Washing is very successful!
