Meet Rodney Owens of Pathway To Serenity in North Houston

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rodney Owens.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Rodney. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Where it began. In 1997 I went to Treatment to get help for my drug and alcohol problem. At the time I had been married for 5 years. We were going through marriage counseling and I got tired and I wanted to seek other help to get my life back, because that’s not how I was raised. After I graduated the program I learned a lot about myself. I learned a lot about being a man and being accountable. After I graduated, I thought I was going back to corporate America but realized that God had other plans for me and my life. I started working in the field of substance abuse and addiction in one of the best adolescent programs in the state of Texas. From that moment I knew that found my true passion and calling in life. Then after working several years in the field of substance. I received my vision from God to open Pathway to Serenity Men residential Substance abuse program. At that time I ran from my vision and calling and told myself I wanted to continue to work with adolescence and that Men was hard headed and stubborn and set in there ways. Then God said just like you was. So God told me to tell the Men what he had done for me. I received this vision in 2005 and it has come to reality in 2009. We so grateful to be able to touch and help Men regain their lives, I am excited about the challenge that is ahead of me to be a positive role model for the men that come Pathway to Serenity seeking help for the addiction. And to demonstrate through my actions that they may be able to find their own Pathway to Serenity. Rodney Owens, Founder of Pathway realize through his journey, he recognized that his passion and calling were the same, to help addicted men gain a stronger foundation to become the men they were called to be. His dedicated work in assisting men to build a stronger foundation is shown through his education and experience and will now be offered through the structured environment at Pathway to Serenity. Rodney and Barbara Owens knows that men will be reunited with a healthy, manageable life and there ultimate goal is to touch as many men lives so they can and will become productive members of society will become a reality. Rodney and Barbara Owens knows from personal experience and has proven by others that through better life skills, structure environment, and education, that the Pathway to Serenity will be successful in men lives.
