Today we’d like to introduce you to Ron Echols and Cheryl Piccio.
We engage in colorful conversation on a variety of topics ranging from local happenings to entertainment, online buzz, and trending national news. We try to approach our discussions with an honest, fun and refreshing perspective. We have special guests, games, music performances and docu-style on-location feature stories. The half-hour show airs every Sunday, at 11 a.m. CST.
• Sheryn Regis: Sheryn rose to fame in the Philippines during the first season of the Philippine Idol singing competition. Since then, she has become a multi-platinum recording artist and recently was voted people’s choice by the Asia pacific awards council. Dubbed Asia’s performing diva and the crystal voice of Asia, she frequently performs concerts across the US, Canada, and Asia.
• Cheryl Piccio: Spokesmodel and a prominent community advocate. Cheryl has received countless awards for her community service achievements in Houston. This producer, actress, model, is in high demand as an emcee and host for charitable, community and corporate events in Houston and the Philippines. She is a former Miss. Philippines-Houston and the Texas correspondent for ABS-CBN news.
• Vincent Evangelista: Vincent is an award-winning vocalist and thespian who has shared the stage with some of the most notable theater artists today. Miss Saigon, Les Misérables, Legally Blonde, and Urinetown are just a few of his theatrical credits. He continues to perform at some of the premier theater companies in Houston and is arguably the most active and most prominent Asian American thespian in the Houston musical theater scene.
• Nelvin Adriatico: Banker, Business Broker, Real Estate Broker, and real estate development are just a few of the roles Nelvin plays in the Houston business community. Houston Chamber of commerce (co-member), Asian Pacific and Pacific Islander Chamber of commerce former President, Member of the Mayor’s council on new Americans are highlights of his community engagement and leadership.
• Rose-Ann Aragon: A multimedia journalist and reporter, Rose-Ann is a proud one-woman band. Shooting, writing, and editing all her segments. She is always on the hunt for a good story to tell.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
You get the concept out of your head, onto paper and into treatment with a catchy title. Now the hard part is getting the show on television. For television business insiders this is a much easier task. You just need to call your contacts and try to meet with someone in charge. For us, beginning outside of the business, trying to break in is extremely difficult. Hardly any of the TV stations or networks will meet with new producers directly.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Chit Chat Houston – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
The program is a 30-minute lifestyle/talk show, designed to complement people’s viewing styles with unscripted entertainment, trending news, special guests, live music performances, and on-location docu-style features.
When you watch you will see that the fun, quick-witted commentary of the panel brings a refreshing perspective to relevant social issues we face today. The viewer, not only have having been entertained and informed, will have just watched a show that positivity celebrates the community around them and shares stories of the people making it happen. A show about the people they know and the people in the community they care about. People just like them.
