Ronald’s ultimate goal in life is to make a positive impact on today’s world and to create a brighter tomorrow for our society. With this belief, Ronald’s career has been centered around this heartfelt passion. After obtaining his undergraduate degree from the University of Houston and a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Prairie View A&M University, Ronald began his professional career as an educator with Fort Bend Independent School District. Ronald later moved on to help further the missions of several non-profits in the Houston area to include: The Awty International School, The American Red Cross and Teach For America, where he held leadership positions in Development and External Affairs. With more than 18 years of development and leadership experience, Ronald currently serves as Executive Director at the New Faith Church and is the founder and owner of an influential non-profit resource event management company – Jackson Interest, LLC, where he serves as the Principal Consultant.

One of Ronald’s proudest initiatives is establishing the Elliott-Chandler Foundation along with his wife and life partner, Regina Jackson. The Elliott-Chandler Foundation seeks to provide critical assistance and support to young men who are demonstrating a desire to excel in the area of academics and pursue a degree from a higher learning institution with ultimate hopes of becoming a leader of tomorrow. Ronald currently serves on several boards, to include: Breakthrough Houston, 100 Black Men of Houston Metropolitan, and Materre’s Music Foundation. Ronald is married to the lovely, Regina Williams-Jackson and they are the proud parents of two great young men, Langston (16) and Parker (14).

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Funding is always a challenge when you are in the non-profit sector. How can we do more? How can we touch more lives? How can we further our mission? Who can we partner with? How can we establish stronger relationships? These are the things I’m also thinking about as I’m strategically planning for the Elliott-Chandler Foundation.

Please tell us about Elliott-Chandler Foundation.
The Elliott-Chandler Foundation, Inc. strives to achieve this through two paths:
1) Financial assistance through scholarships.
2) Support through a mentoring program. Truly, financial assistance is paramount in this endeavor, but without the solid foundation of mentorship and guidance, positive change and effectual vision cannot take place.

The Elliott-Chandler Foundation is committed to: developing a society of educated young men prepared to be future leaders in various areas of expertise; enhancing moral and ethical values of young men though mentoring; and providing financial assistance to young men interested in becoming successful college graduates.

Our Impact. 93 Scholarships Awarded, $187k To Deserving Recipients since 2008, 1715 Young Men Have Been Touched Through Our Empowerment Sessions.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
As a child and teenager, I recall several men within my community who were mentors to me. They took the time to show me the true meaning of being a man. These gentlemen taught me invaluable life lessons; they listened to me and spoke positively over my life. The funny thing about this is, some of them had no idea that they were serving as a mentor to be. They just showed genuine concern about my delevelop as a young man and I am truely grateful. I will forever be reminded of vital gestures that continue to impact and order my steps as I walk through life. My desire is to pass on these same gestures to the young men that the Elliott-Chandler Foundation touches. It’s life-changing and it really does make all the difference!
