I’ve always been dedicated to all aspects of beauty and style, from the latest trends in hair styles to the most effective hair care starting with my own daughter’s hair. After multiple times of braiding my daughter’s hair I received compliments from her teachers, friend’s mothers, and even neighbors! I was pleased that people liked my braiding and agreed to do their hair as well. Over time more people asked me about hair services, and without realizing it I had built a clientele. I decided to begin studying cosmetology and learned many ways I could broaden my business. My passion turned into my full-time job and over time I was blessed enough and opened up my own salon. This is only the beginning of my story and I know SALO Hair Braiding & Weaving has many more plans for the future!
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Working in a fast growing and competitive hair braiding market where everybody would like to perform and be the best is a constant challenge. I want SALO Hair Braiding & Weaving to not only be at the top but to stay at the top. It is my job to find new ways to improve my business and ensure that my clients are always satisfied. As a licensed cosmetologist with over 15 years’ experience, I believe that clients appreciate a safe, caring, professional and clean environment. I’m onsite most days to make sure things go smoothly for the stylists and more importantly for the clients. I encourage each and every one of the hairstylists and professionals to set the bar higher than everyone else in the industry. Many of our stylists have decades of experience and many continue their education through seminars, hair shows, etc
