Today we’d like to introduce you to Sandra Lozano.
Sandra, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Torito Cookies was born from my love for food and art. In 2018 a baker that inspired me to learn cookie decoration. I started exploring recipes and techniques and discovered that baking is a great therapy for me. The more I learned the more I enjoyed, then baking passed from being a hobby to help me as Therapy and becoming a small business.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It’s been a road of great discoveries and since baking is not my main source of income, this allows me to focus on my creative side. The only challenge I have found is time management. Having a full-time job (that I also love) and being a cookie artist put strains on my schedule and limit the time I can spend creating! Still, I always find time for my job, my passion, and my family!
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Torito Cookies – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I am a cookie artist, my company is Torito Cookies. At Torito Cookies, I offer custom cookies and desserts. I am proud of all the love and details I put into my products, more than food, they are art. What sets me apart from others is my unique way of interpreting what people want and transfer their feelings into cookies.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I am looking forward to growing my business and reach to more people with my art. I would like to take small steps and perfect each technique before moving to the next one. Cookie decorating helps me to achieve the balance that I need between my creative side and my inner peace and I look forward to having this in my life.
