Meet Sandra Tillman of Sandra Tillman Professional Massage in Spring

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sandra Tillman.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I became a Licensed Massage Therapist in 1999. I had no real passion for it in the beginning; I thought it would be a good part-time job for some extra income. However, it didn’t take me long to realize that this was what I was meant to do.

My entire working experience, from the age of 18, had been in the corporate world, and massage was a whole new atmosphere, unlike anything in which I had worked before. There are no deadlines to meet, no office politics, no stress. It’s quiet, peaceful, serene, and most important to me, fulfilling in the knowledge that I make a difference in the quality of my clients’ lives.

Massage became my passion and is now my only work. I have furthered my knowledge by earning numerous specific massage certifications, but the one that means the most to me is becoming a Certified Cancer Massage Therapist. As a survivor myself, I have great compassion for my clients who are going through cancer treatment. I have also recently received my certification as a Medical Massage Practitioner.

Please accept this invitation to visit my office so we can begin our therapist/client relationship. I’m looking forward to working with you!

Please tell us about Sandra Tillman Professional Massage.
I am proficient in the following modalities:

Swedish Massage
Deep Tissue Massage
Cancer Massage
Medical Massage
Sports Massage
Prenatal Massage
Geriatric Massage
Hot Stone Massage
Massage Cupping

Although I offer numerous modalities, I can’t say that I specialize in any particular one. Massage is not a “one size fits all” type of business. Each client receives a massage that is specifically tailored to his or her needs, often using a combination of modalities.

I “specialize” in making sure my clients leave feeling better than when they arrived.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I would have opened my own practice much sooner.
