Meet Santos Macias and Ashle Bowen of EPO Computers in Webster

Today we’d like to introduce you to Santos Macias and Ashle Bowen.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Santos and Ashle. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
In 2014, EPO relocated to their original start-up location of 17318 Highway 3, Webster, Texas. This is just around the corner from the previous location. I have personally been with the company since 2005. As of April 2016, my fiancé, Ashle’ and I purchased EPO and are working to make EPO the place to go by the end of the year.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
When we changed location there was little advertising and we are just now recovering from no-one knowing where we were. We still have people coming in everyday asking when we moved or if we shut down. But we haven’t and we are here to stay!

EPO Computers – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Being a computer parts and electronics hobby store, EPO strives to work for our customers to accomplish their computing and electronic projects while saving them money. We also service and repair computers and select electronics. From school projects to personal system repairs, What sets us apart from the others is that we are a ma and pa’ shop, each customer receives a one-on-one. EPO has always taken pride as the place to go, when you need to know.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
One of the years I was in-charge of Small Business Saturday, I had orchestrated for a small celebration of the surrounding business to come to our parking lot for the day. We were expecting about 200-300 people from our community to show up, that number was closer to 1000 people that came to enjoy the day with us. I underestimated our local community support.

Wow, I was wondering! I’ve known this store from the time it originally opened many years ago. I would drop by for stuff when I lived near Clear Lake Texas, up until late 2007, when Ike hit, and I moved out of the Houston area. Was a great store back then. Hope you are doing well, and keeping some of the original of the store – was a great place to find odds and ends, and obscure stuff.
