Meet Seth, Steven Rogers and Ira Ace of Sanman Company in The Greater Houston

Today we’d like to introduce you to Seth, Steven Rogers and Ira Ace.

Seth, Steven and Ira, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
In the early summer of 2018 Steven and Ace had recently moved back from Los Angeles where they spent two years building a creative foundation. When they returned, we brainstormed of how we could bring the artistic scene above ground to Houston and how to bring creative talent from all aspects together. We felt that’s what Houston needed and decided to take action by throwing our Sanman Exhibition on July 14th, 2018.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
We feel that no road is smooth especially the road less traveled. Some of the many struggles we faced were the many facets of throwing an event, getting artists & designers to want to work with you and building a foundation for others to attend to something so new.

Please tell us about the business.
SANMAN which is an acronym for See A Need Meet A Need was built to create creative concepts and connect creatives in all facets of the arts. We’re known for our events which include: Sanman Exhibition, which is a curated event that highlights top local artists and designers. Sanman Brunch & Screw, a Houston inspired pop up brunch where you enjoy your favorite modern tracks chopped & screwed while enjoying a chef-curated meal with mimosas. We also have a creative studio, Sanman Studios, which is located in Downtown Houston built to host other creatives pop ups, galleries, photography & video shoots etc. Our business is special because it’s built to inspire and support other creatives. We have a family core and want to keep that environment among Houston creatives.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
Every artist, designer, photographer, videographer, graphic design, and creative we’ve ever worked with. Nothing great is ever done alone and we understand that.
