Today we’d like to introduce you to Shauneka Robinson.
Shauneka, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
My name is Shauneka Robinson and I was born and raised in Spartanburg, SC. I am the mother of two daughters. I am the owner/CEO of The Queen Nek Collection LLC, which is an all-natural hair product line that promotes growth and healthy hair. At the age of 18, as a licensed cosmetologist, my dream was to become an entrepreneur and own my own hair salon. After the passing of my mother in July 2006, I gave up that dream and left the hair industry to pursue a degree and a career in the medical field. I worked for ten years in family medicine physician offices, but started to feel burnt out. I started to feel like I had purpose elsewhere and I began to feel a pull towards the hair industry, which was my first passion. I returned to the hair industry in March 2014 and remained part-time in my career.
In June of 2017, I became a full-time entrepreneur and my dream became a reality when I opened my very own hair salon. After owning my salon for a year, I developed a desire to own my own hair care product line that focused on hair restoration and building healthy natural tresses. After much prayer and research, I launched The Queen Nek Collection in 2018 and developed my first product, which I made myself, called Flourish Hair Growth Oil. It was a huge success. I then introduced the first product for male beard care, which was an all-natural beard oil and added an additional edge tamer product for women. In February 2019, I was able to get my hair growth oil sold in local beauty supply stores and salons. I’ve shipped products to several different states nationwide and had amazing testimonials come back, even from recovering cancer patients who lost their hair due to radiation.
In January 2020, I finally released the rest of my haircare line for women, including shampoo, conditioner, leave-in conditioner, hair cream, growth oil, and edge tamer. I also released the remainder of the all-natural beard-grooming line in January 2020, which now includes a beard wash, beard conditioner, beard balm, and beard oil. As a single mother, I would have never thought it would be possible to live out my dream as a successful entrepreneur and business owner. My mission is to leave a legacy for my daughters. God has allowed me to accomplish a great deal of success in a short period of time. I believe that the sky is never the limit because you can do all things through Christ who gives you strength!
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Being a business owner and entrepreneur has not been the easiest road, but the journey has been the most fulfilling. I suffered many losses and have had to sacrifice many things, but it was well worth it. Being a single mother was one of the challenges along the way, juggling motherhood and my business. When I first stepped out on faith to pursue my dream, I ended up losing everything and becoming homeless for about six months. That was one of the hardest challenges, but I was determined not to give up. I knew that I was destined for success so I just had to trust the process.

The Queen Nek Collection LLC is an all-natural hair care line for women, which includes a beard grooming line for men as well. My products help promote growth, hair restoration and health of the hair. I’m known for my bestselling Flourish Hair Growth Oil. I’m most proud of being able to have my products selling out in local beauty supply stores and surrounding cities, also being able to impact the lives of so many struggling with hair loss, including cancer survivors. Quality products and excellence in customer service are what sets The Queen Nek Collection LLC apart. We treat our customers as a royal family.

First of all, I thank God for every bit of success I’ve achieved thus far. I would have to thank my siblings for always supporting me because without my mom, it wasn’t easy. I am thankful for all of my amazing clients that always cheered me on and encouraged me to push harder. My pastors played a big role in encouraging me through my success and my friends were also an amazing support system that chipped in to help and support whenever I needed them.
