Today we’d like to introduce you to Sherry Younan.
Hi Sherry, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My journey has been shaped by faith, family, resilience, and purpose. I am a licensed chemist, a wife, and most importantly, a mother to two wonderful autistic boys who inspire me every single day.
Back in Egypt, I worked as a medical representative and also in laboratory blood test analysis. Life changed completely when my husband’s work brought us to the United States nearly nine years ago. Moving away from our large supportive family was one of the biggest transitions of our lives. Suddenly, we were alone in a new country while raising two special-needs children who required full-time care and attention.
As my husband worked tirelessly to provide a better life for our family, I dedicated myself to caring for our boys and helping them navigate daily challenges. After two years in the U.S., I began working in children’s ministry because the flexible hours fit my sons’ schedules. Later, I worked for four years as a long-term substitute teacher and then spent a year as a Special Education teacher aide at Exley Elementary. I truly loved my students and cherished being part of their growth and learning journey.
However, balancing work and caring for our boys became increasingly difficult. Their morning routines required full assistance, and my husband was carrying so much responsibility on his shoulders. Together, we made the decision for me to stay home and focus on our family’s needs. While it was the right decision, my husband knew I needed something that would also fulfill me personally and creatively.
Everything changed after we received a handmade organic soap as a gift from one of the parents. We loved it so much that it inspired my husband to encourage me to explore natural skincare and soap making. He reminded me, “You’re a chemist — this is something you can do beautifully.” I began taking classes in organic skincare formulation and started replacing everything in our home with natural alternatives, from skincare products to laundry detergent.
The transformation we experienced as a family was incredible. We noticed improvements in our skin, overall health, and sensitivities, especially for our children. My husband then encouraged me to share these products with others, not only to help families discover healthier options but also to create an income that supported me as a stay-at-home mom.
What started as a small passion project within my church community quickly grew into something much bigger. I created a WhatsApp group that grew to over 100 members, and the feedback from customers was overwhelming and encouraging. People shared stories about improvements in inflammation, acne-prone skin, allergies, irritation around the eyes, and many other skin concerns.
Their support gave me the confidence to expand further by launching my website, social media platforms, TikTok Shop, and participating in vendor events throughout the community. Seeing people connect with my products and trust my work has been one of the greatest blessings of my life.
Today, I am deeply thankful to God for guiding this journey, to my husband for being my greatest supporter behind the scenes, and to my boys for teaching me strength, patience, unconditional love, and joy every day through their hugs, prayers, and beautiful hearts.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely has not been a completely smooth road. Like many small business owners and mothers, I faced many emotional, personal, and professional challenges along the way.
One of the hardest parts was trying to balance being fully present for my two autistic boys while also building a business. There were days when I cried because I felt overwhelmed and worried that being busy with work, vendor events, or product preparation might take away from the care and attention my boys need from me every day. As a mother, that feeling is always heavy on the heart.
I also faced resistance and discouragement from some people who did not fully understand my vision or believe in what I was building. Starting over in a new country without family support while raising special-needs children already came with many challenges, so emotionally it was not always easy.
Professionally, the journey required a lot of patience, learning, and persistence. In the beginning, I made mistakes with formulations and products, but instead of giving up, I continued learning, researching, testing, and improving myself. I wanted to make sure I created products that were truly safe, effective, and professional. After two years of dedication, practice, and consistency, I can confidently say that those challenges helped shape me into the formulator and business owner I am today.
Every struggle taught me something valuable — patience, resilience, humility, and the importance of continuing even when things feel difficult. Looking back now, I see that every hard moment was part of the process that helped me grow both personally and professionally.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I am a licensed chemist specializing in handcrafted organic soaps and natural skincare products designed to support healthy, glowing skin in a gentle and holistic way. My brand focuses on combining science, nature, and wellness to create products that are not only nourishing and moisturizing, but also supportive for many common skin concerns.
What makes my products different is that I carefully formulate them using natural, high-quality ingredients chosen for their beneficial and healing properties. Many of my customers have shared positive experiences with concerns such as acne-prone skin, eczema, melasma, dryness, irritation, inflammation, and sensitive skin conditions. My goal has always been to provide skincare that helps people feel confident and comfortable in their own skin while avoiding harsh chemicals and unnecessary additives.
As both a chemist and a mother, especially raising children with sensitivities, I became very passionate about understanding what we put on our skin and how it affects overall wellness. Every formula I create is thoughtfully researched, tested, and handcrafted with care, patience, and purpose.
In addition to my skincare line, I am currently continuing my education to become a certified skincare coach because I truly believe skincare is more than just products — it is also about healthy habits, self-care, education, and confidence. I recently began hosting skincare workshops where I teach women how to care for their skin naturally, especially women over 40 like myself.
One thing I am very proud of is showing women that healthy, radiant skin is possible naturally. I am 41 years old, and through consistent natural skincare, healthy routines, and proper skin practices, I have personally experienced amazing results without relying on Botox or fillers. During my workshops, I teach what I call my “10 Golden Rules” for healthy skin, including proper skincare routines, understanding ingredients, facial massage techniques, and how to use gua sha for natural anti-aging benefits and blood circulation support.
What sets my brand apart is that it comes from real life, real struggles, real research, and real passion. This business was built from a mother’s desire to create healthier products for her family and to help others feel beautiful, confident, and cared for naturally.
More than anything, I want readers to know that my brand is built with love, honesty, faith, and a genuine desire to help people heal and care for their skin in a healthier way.
What matters most to you?
My family is truly my greatest blessing and motivation. Raising my two autistic boys has taught me patience, unconditional love, strength, and gratitude in ways I never imagined. Every challenge we have faced together has shaped me into a stronger woman, mother, and business owner. My husband’s endless support and sacrifices have also been the foundation behind everything we have built together. That is why creating a life filled with love, stability, health, and purpose for my family means everything to me.
My faith in God is what keeps me grounded through every difficult season and every success. It reminds me to stay humble, thankful, and compassionate toward others. Many moments in my journey felt impossible, but faith gave me the strength to continue moving forward.
I also deeply care about helping others feel confident, healthy, and cared for naturally. Through my skincare business and workshops, I want women especially to understand that beauty is not about perfection or expensive procedures — it is about caring for yourself, healing naturally, and feeling comfortable in your own skin. Seeing someone gain confidence again because their skin improved or because they learned healthier habits brings me so much joy and purpose.
At the end of the day, success for me is not only about business growth. It is about creating something meaningful that serves others while still being fully present for the people I love most.
