Today we’d like to introduce you to Shikha Singh.
Shikha, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’m originally from India and now living in Atlanta, Georgia, and my journey has been a pretty unexpected transition from the corporate world into content creation. I actually started my career in software engineering, which was a completely different environment from what I do now. While I enjoyed the structure and problem-solving side of tech, I always had a creative side that wanted an outlet.
Over time, I started sharing pieces of my everyday life online, beauty, fashion, food, shopping finds, and little lifestyle moments that felt authentic to me. At first, it was simply something I enjoyed doing creatively outside of work, but I slowly realized how much I loved connecting with people through storytelling and content.
The biggest turning point came after becoming a mom. Motherhood changed my perspective in so many ways and inspired me to create more relatable lifestyle content around balancing daily life, self-care, confidence, and the realities of navigating a new chapter while still trying to feel like yourself. I think people connected with the honesty and relatability of that transition.
As my audience grew, content creation naturally became more than just a hobby. I started collaborating with brands I genuinely loved and turned my passion into a full-time career. What I love most is that no two days look the same, one day I’m creating recipes or beauty content, and the next I’m sharing home, wellness, or motherhood moments that resonate with other women.
Looking back, it’s amazing to see how far things have evolved. If someone had told me years ago while I was working in software engineering that I’d eventually build a career around creativity and storytelling, I probably wouldn’t have believed them. But that shift allowed me to combine creativity, connection, and authenticity in a way that feels much more aligned with who I am today.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. Transitioning from software engineering to content creation came with a lot of uncertainty because they’re such different worlds. In a traditional corporate career, there’s usually a clear path and stability, but with content creation, you’re building everything from scratch and figuring things out as you go.
One of the biggest struggles was overcoming self-doubt in the beginning. Putting yourself online can feel very vulnerable, especially when you come from a more structured and conventional professional background. There were moments where I questioned whether I was making the right decision or whether people would even connect with what I was sharing.
There’s also a lot that people don’t see behind content creation, constantly staying creative, managing brand collaborations, handling social media pressure, and learning the business side of things on your own. It can look glamorous online, but it takes a lot of consistency and resilience behind the scenes.
Another challenge was learning how to balance everything after becoming a mom. Motherhood is beautiful, but it also changes your priorities, energy, and identity in ways you can’t fully prepare for. Trying to build a creative career while navigating postpartum life, lack of sleep, and the everyday responsibilities of being a parent was definitely overwhelming at times.
At the same time, those challenges helped me grow the most. They pushed me to become more confident in myself, trust my creativity, and build something that genuinely feels authentic to who I am. Looking back, I think the difficult moments were also what shaped my journey and made it more meaningful.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a lifestyle content creator, and I create content centered around beauty, fashion, motherhood, food, wellness, home, and everyday life. My content is really focused on making daily life feel relatable, elevated, and authentic at the same time. I love sharing things that genuinely fit into my lifestyle, whether it’s a skincare routine, a recipe, a fashion find, or simple moments from motherhood and home life.
I think what I specialize in most is creating relatable storytelling-driven content that feels natural instead of overly curated. My audience has always connected with the fact that I share real-life experiences, the transition into motherhood, balancing personal identity with family life, self-care, confidence, and all the little in-between moments that many women experience but don’t always talk about openly.
Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with brands across beauty, wellness, fashion, baby, and home spaces, which has been incredibly rewarding because it allows me to combine creativity with meaningful partnerships. I’m especially known for creating warm, conversational content that feels genuine and approachable rather than “salesy.”
What I’m most proud of is building a platform and community by simply being myself. I didn’t come from a media or creative background, I transitioned from software engineering into this space, so creating a career out of storytelling and creativity has been really fulfilling. I’m also proud that my content has evolved alongside different stages of my life, especially motherhood, while still staying authentic to who I am.
I think what sets me apart is the balance between relatability and aspiration. I want people to come to my page and feel inspired, but also feel seen. I’m not trying to present a perfect life, I want my content to feel honest, comforting, and real while still bringing beauty and positivity into everyday moments.
So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
What matters most to me is authenticity, meaningful connection, and creating a life that feels aligned with who I truly am. For a long time, especially coming from a more traditional and structured career background, I felt pressure to follow a certain path or fit into certain expectations. Over time, I realized how important it is to build a life and career that genuinely reflects your values, creativity, and individuality.
Family is also at the center of everything I do. Becoming a mother completely shifted my perspective and taught me to slow down and appreciate the small moments that often go unnoticed. It made me more intentional about how I spend my time, the kind of environment I create, and the example I want to set for my son.
I also really value growth, both personal and creative. I believe life is constantly evolving, and every phase teaches you something about yourself. Whether it’s through motherhood, career changes, challenges, or new opportunities, I think growth comes from being willing to step outside your comfort zone and trust yourself even when things feel uncertain.
At the heart of it all, I want my work and my platform to make people feel connected, inspired, and understood. Even something as simple as sharing an honest moment or relatable experience can make someone feel less alone, and I think that kind of connection is really powerful.
