Meet SSadia Ahmed

Today we’d like to introduce you to SSadia Ahmed, founder of Munaari.

SSadia, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Tagline for Munaari- ” Fission or Fusion, Do it with Passion.”

I have been always fascinated with bollywood, dress designing and modeling, so I wanted to bring my passion for these in combination of designing, acting and expression in the best possible manner simultaneously. This sounds little different but yeah, I wanted everything under one roof. Well! Coming from India to USA, I didn’t have any contact and was totally clueless from where to start but I believed in my talent to take my passion further.

Since it’s difficult usually for short people like me to get the platform on ramp and that’s why rather asking for opportunity I decided to create such opportunities not just to fulfill my passion but to provide platform to so many aspiring models and other talents in Houston and surrounding. Last year in July 2019 I founded Munaari and there was no looking back since then. More than 40 models ( women, men & kids) have joined from different backgrounds like doctors, engineers, business women, creative fields. They believe in Munaari’s innovation of choreography and its theme based fashion shows. Munaari means (distinct or unique woman). All empowered ladies empower each other, being into Munaari irrespective of their age, weight, height, color, or ethnicity. As far as you have passion for fashion, you are welcome to join the team with aggression.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Challenges come handy with dreams and passion. If you want to excel there are so many competitors in market. However, Munaari has its totally different structure of progression when it comes to artistic and different theme-based fashion shows each time with unique choreography.

Thinking beyond the box for different theme based and choosing models based on this is a difficult task sometimes. Also, when teaching moves or imparting model the thought for the choreography becomes difficult because some are totally new in this field yet enthusiastic to be a part of it. I appreciate their zeal to learn but bringing them together with flawless practices become difficult sometimes.Briniging fresh choreography is another challenge which is really enjoyable and fun part.

Please tell us about your work.
Basically am a medical biller, also known as Revenue Cycle management. I have vast varieties of hobbies ranging from cooking ( Bites in spice), photography, writing (justpendownbysadia.blogspot.com) dress designing, and event designing. Munaari is just created to give back to community the flavor/ freshness of fashion and style they want. From choosing music track till doing fashion choreography , choosing outfits for models as per theme, their styling, make up, hairstyles and even promotional flyers every detail is focused and is done by me.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Well! I would like to repeat it 😆. Because I believe there is always scope for improvement.Things have been going smoothly and God has been always kind to help us in the most challenging time. Improvement is the consistent process which I will keep on focusing. Nothing satisfies me. Urge to do better is always in mind.
