So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
A friend of mine have always talked to me about having my own business. I had a surgery a year ago that had me on leave for five weeks. During that time, my granddaughter signed with a local modeling agency. I thought to myself, I love fashion, I can start a little online boutique to assist my granddaughter with any fees she will have. I started with 12 dresses, then to 10 handbags and quickly evolved to a mo Ike vendor at different events providing ladies with reasonable cost handbags.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The beginning of any start-up of a business, big or small, you will have your family and friends support so it’s a lot of excitement at the beginning but at some point, that will die down and you will have to market yourself. I started following different motivational speakers and other Boutique owners that are successful to find key ways to Network and market my business. Financially, I hit different bumps trying to get loans due to the business is still new. So I had to use my own income to start off.
Please tell us about Touched.
I have an online boutique TheMathisTouch.com, I specialize in providing fashionable handbags at a reasonable cost. My new adventure is helping others start their business as well. That is what I most proud of having people contact me and say that I motivated them to push harder or die to me exposing their business they have expanded their customer base.
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I don’t believe in luck, I believe in God I have realized my purpose on this earth is to motivate others to be the best in whatever they wish to be.
