Today we’d like to introduce you to Stefanie Beltran.
Stefanie, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I have had a love for baking as long as I can remember. It began in my Grandmother’s kitchen when we would make cookies and other sweets. She gave me my first cookbook when I was 6 years old and I remember baking every cookie recipe in that book!
As my cookies and cakes became more and more requested and complimented, I figured “Why not” try out a small baking business? I love baking and I love sharing my sweets with others. I also desperately wanted to be able to stay home with my babies, yet still, help contribute to the income for my family. So, Sugar Momma Sweets and Treats was born in July of 2016 and has allowed me to do just that, all the while providing delicious goodies to my customers!
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I have been very fortunate to actually have a very smooth ride. I have the absolute best customers!
Sugar Momma Sweets and Treats – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
My company is Sugar Momma Sweets and Treats. I am proud to offer fresh, truly made-from-scratch cookies, cupcakes, cakes, goodies, etc. that have been created from tried and true family recipes as well as personal creations. I LOVE hearing how much people enjoy my sweets… it truly is motivation to keep going!
I have also been fortunate to start providing Lactation Cookies to local Katy and Houston area nursing mommas. This has quickly become one of my best sellers and a lot of it is thanks to word of mouth and referrals. I think this is actually what I am most proud of. As a breastfeeding mom myself, I can personally relate to the struggles that can come along with breastfeeding… thankfully, I have created a delicious, semi-healthy and easy to grab a snack that provides both nourishment to mom as well as ingredients that will help boost her milk supply.

- Gourmet Cupcakes – $20-$25/Dozen, depending on flavor
