Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Galindo.
Stephanie, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I always loved to help my friends and family decorate their events. There is just something about making each event memorable, that I try to accomplish. One day, a friend gave me that extra push that I needed! She recommended that I should pursue decorating to the public. Slowly my clientele grew, and this is how Giggles Events started. Earlier this year I was introduced to sequin walls, and I feel in love with them. I plan on bringing Houston as many colors as possible, I’m really excited to see how Houston Sequin Walls will grow.
Has it been a smooth road?
No! Not at all. In the beginning it was extremely hard to find clients. As time went on it became easier. Also my inventory slowly grew, and I started learning more about different balloon techniques and crafting skills to help improve my events.
Giggles Events & Houston Sequin Walls – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I specialize in decorating and balloon garlands. I mostly decorate main table areas. However, I’ve done full venue setups as well. I think the one thing I’m most proud of is how little I had when I first began, to seeing what it is now. Houston has some wonderful event decorators, I’m friends with many of them across the city. I think every event decorator has their own style. My style is fun, colorful, and sophisticated.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
Within the next 5-10 years, I see Giggles Events continuing to grow and offer our clients that same one on one personal decorating experience I have always offered. I also see Houston Sequin Walls growing, not only for the public but as well as providing sequin walls for other event decorators.
