Steven, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Rich Fit Foods started in April 2016 after gaining substantial weight as a sales manager at Gillman Honda. I began meal prepping and putting my journey on social media for accountability purposes! Upon doing so, I gained some momentum informing my company for various questions, requests, and possible sales forming behind the posts. I got in touch with my business consultant, and we went to work! In 28 days, while both of us had full-time jobs, we formed Rich Fit Foods! My soft grand opening showed me that there was a definite need for healthy, fit meals for Houstonians. The need was already my passion as I had lost 65+ pounds with constant meal prepping and a consistent workout regime. I used my journey, my father’s blessings as a chef, and hard work to fuel Rich Fit Foods! 3+ years in and I’m shipping nationwide, partnered with a gym location and their custom clients, and even worked out plans to team up with a smoothie company as well!
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I can truly say as an entrepreneur there are many struggles that come along the way! From finances, branding, social media presence, & even attaining a proper team! The best struggle makes the strongest business person and molds them into an unstoppable force.
Please tell us about Rich Fit Foods, LLC.
My company’s name is Rich Fit Foods! A 100% delivery meal prep based company out of Houston, TX servicing the city and surrounding areas! We also ship nationwide.
I specialize in preparing meals that are portioned out for clients who want to keep a healthy regiment!
I’m known for my awesome salmon prepared in various ways! Stuffed, pan-seared, in a salad, etc. I’m also known for a well-seasoned product that sets me apart from any other meal prep company.
I’m most proud of my endorsed, sponsored athletes and to trainers around the city who use my product to fuel not only their day but to aid in their nutrition needs.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
Favorite memory from childhood is playing basketball on a regular basis! We also played football and baseball, along with riding bikes and Nintendo gaming system as entertainment! Those were the days and everything was so simple back then!
