Today we’d like to introduce you to Subduer Dre
Hi Subduer, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started by taken the risk and believing in myself. Would it be cliché to say that is how everyone story starts? As a kid growing up I’ve always had a passion and ear for music. The genres of music would change with every family member I spent time with. Born and raised in Memphis, TN aka The City of Blues music was literally all around me. One day I had a mental switch from consumer to producer so I decided to buy a beat and left my thoughts, emotions, feelings, as well as my life experiences in the booth. I instantly fell in love with the process of writing and hearing myself in the studio.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Outside of it being a saturated profession respectfully, my transition into music has been smooth and a struggle. Overtime, I learned that it is a costly industry to get into and struggled with funding in the beginning. I struggled with trust too because jumping into this without knowing anyone people can come across as if he or she can help you but just trying to take your money. The smooth side of the road has been the things I have learned along the way and the feedback I have heard from people close to me and all across the world.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a recording artist. I specialize in writing and known for creating songs. I am most proud of discovering my purpose and gift in life. What sets me apart from others is that every thing I speak and write is my real life.
Any big plans?
I can’t spill the beans about what I have planned but I will say I will continue to creative, write, learn and share what I have learned along the way.
