Today we’d like to introduce you to Tamarah Smith.
Tamarah, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Growing up I was exposed to many elements within the design realm, so wedding planning/design came very natural to me! My father is an architectural home designer; always took me to job sites and showed me the structural yet creative side to home building industry. Also, my mother was the first live version of Pinterest I can remember! She is a natural sketch artist, crochets, sews, cooks, and has an instinctive green thumb.
So I have roots that stem from a creative upbringing. Event planning started for me in the corporate arena. Coordinating company luncheons, department celebrations, and year-end events always made for a lot of fun, so I decided to take the venture a bit further with wedding planning on my own time and it has grown rapidly from there!
Having more than 10 years of corporate coordinating and 6 years of personal event coordinating experience, I’ve gained a great deal of knowledge on how to execute events with professionalism, fine attention to detail, and unique style. I love everything that goes into party planning and execution because the end results are happy clients with joyful memories, and that is my overall goal!
Has it been a smooth road?
I can honestly say that this adventure into wedding planning has been a blast! I meet great couples and help them celebrate their union into one! I also get a chance to work alongside some of the most creative wedding vendors in Houston. It’s truly amazing watching so many creative people come together to help to a couple have the best day possible, and I feel privileged every time I receive the opportunity!
With that being said, anything worth having comes with a bit of struggle. I take challenges and use them as a moment to learn and embrace the growth of my business. Struggles are only here to build character, make us stronger, and they typically come when we are on the brink of greatness!

Creating a customized atmosphere for a couples wedding day is my passion! I am an experienced and dedicated wedding coordinator/stylist serving the Houston, Austin, and Dallas areas, but ready and available to travel to make your special occasions one of a kind!
Tammy’s Table offers a wide variety of services to our clients and strives to create a customized package that is unique to your event! We set up a personal consultation where we map out the right services for your special day! Wedding Celebrations, Engagement Parties, Baby Showers, Graduations, Corporate Events and more, we will make your event a memorable occasion for the books!
I am most proud of the team of wedding vendors that I’ve come across and have been privileged to work alongside. They help me create a one of a kind Tammy’s Table event for my clients. I honestly feel that we link brides to the most trusted, talented, and hardworking professionals in the industry.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I think that couples in my niche market are choosing to take more of a minimalist approach to their wedding celebration! Everything at their wedding has a distinct purpose and my couples are finding beauty in simplicity.
