Tarsha, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started making perfume scents when I was in high school so it became quite easy for me to mix scents together. I had a cleaning business and I wanted to add something special to my client’s homes on their first cleaning. Remembering that my godmother has a candle business was my leap of faith by calling her to teach me how to make candles.
She was so happy to teach me, I just had to pay for the products. Night after night I would practice until I got it right. When I got the recipes down packed, I gave them to each of my cleaning clients as a thank you gift and I haven’t stopped since.
Has it been a smooth road?
No, it has not. Nothing worth having is. I worked plenty jobs at one time so I could still focus on my dream. Many nights I cried because it was too hard at times and I didn’t see any growth. I walked away from a bad relationship and that took a toll on my ability to focus on anything on top of not getting any sales. I got my strength back when I moved out of town focusing on my self and my business. Any trade show I could go to I did Gathering so many new people who loved my products just as much as I did.

I am a licensed massage therapist /candle maker who makes handcrafted candles and other products. Specializing in artisan jar and intricate design Candles. I don’t just make candles, it’s a list to grab the attention of male and female like all Purpose spray, bath salt, and wax tarts.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I like it’s a high traffic area, but the competition is high.
