Today we’d like to introduce you to Tati Bell.
Hi Tati, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
If there is one theme that has followed me throughout my life, it is reinvention.
I grew up in Russia and eventually built an entirely new life in the United States. Professionally, I spent nine years in IT before realizing that what fascinated me most wasn’t technology — it was people: how we communicate, adapt to change, get stuck, and find our way forward.
That realization led me into coaching, adult learning and cross-cultural work. Over the years, I’ve accumulated more than 3,000 hours of coaching experience, working with leaders and professionals navigating career transitions, leadership challenges, cultural differences and major life changes.
I’ve also become deeply involved in Houston’s professional community through speaking, facilitating and leadership roles in professional associations. Most recently, all those seemingly different parts of my background — technology, coaching, leadership, community building and operations — have started coming together in a new entrepreneurial chapter, We Got Your Back-End, providing operational support for coaches and professional organizations.
My career may look like a series of pivots, but to me there has always been one continuous thread: helping people navigate change while never being afraid to reinvent myself along the way.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Smooth? Not even close.
Starting over in a new country taught me my first big lesson in resilience. I had to rebuild my life, navigate a new culture, and eventually reinvent myself professionally, leaving a nine-year career in IT for coaching.
Then, shortly before my 50th birthday, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I went through a double mastectomy and treatment, and eventually the cancer was gone. What I didn’t expect was that surviving wasn’t the end of the challenge. The cancer was gone, but I was still here — figuring out who I was now and what came next.
That’s probably my biggest lesson from all the starting-overs: resilience isn’t always about bouncing back. Sometimes there is no going back. You build forward.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about We Got Your Back-End?
We Got Your Back-End provides fractional operational support for professional associations, coaches, and learning & development professionals. We help manage the systems, processes, programs, events, communications, and day-to-day execution that keep organizations and businesses running smoothly.
What sets us apart is that we are not traditional virtual assistants. We bring operational ownership — seeing what needs to happen, connecting the moving pieces, creating better processes, and making sure things actually get done.
My own background brings together nine years in technology, more than 3,000 hours of professional coaching, and hands-on leadership experience running programs and operations for professional organizations. That combination allows us to understand both the people side and the systems side of the work.
Our philosophy is right there in the name: You go be great. We got your back-end.
What’s next?
Right now, I am the heart of We Got Your Back-End, and I actually love that. My clients know exactly who they are working with, they can rely on me, and I stay closely involved in everything we do.
But my bigger vision is to build a trusted network of carefully vetted professionals who can handle virtually anything a coach, L&D professional, or professional association might need — from websites and design to technology, automation, communications, and operations.
I want We Got Your Back-End to become one trusted point of contact. Instead of spending time figuring out who to hire, whether they are reliable, and how to manage multiple vendors, our clients come to us and we take care of the rest.
The goal is simple: let brilliant people spend their time doing what they’re brilliant at. We’ll handle what happens behind the scenes.
