Meet Tay Nance

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tay Nance.

Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
Born and raised in Topeka Kansas, in the effort to escape gang violence and other negative situations, My family and I moved to Conroe Texas, not necessarily knowing where I wanted to fit in. Immediately it was known that I had knowledge, classes were put upon me that would help me advance tremendously. Although I had the intellectual skills, I knew I had to excel to the next level which meant college. All I knew was outside fun, I had skill but it was street skill, coaches then put me in sports, from there I was able to get into college on a full ride, and from there I became their first junior all American going on to breaking their school records advancing to regionals in NCAA every year. Now I patent myself trying to advance to medical school. From taking pictures to joining stocks to training other athletes.

Please tell us about your art.
I am an athlete, model of myself and trainer. I go around encouraging others of the importance of gaining an education, training not only their mind but their body to get them into the best position they can be in. In my photography, I envision of places and object to create the best photo, the best angles, etc. I inspire to prove it doesn’t matter your background; you have the ability to overcome and become the best person you can be. Inspiration and motivation is all I aspire people to take from me.

As an artist, how do you define success and what quality or characteristic do you feel is essential to success as an artist?
I define success as happiness in my mother, if I have the ability to make my mother worry free and happy, I have succeeded. Success is confidence, the ability to never stop dreaming, leveling up, never staying stagnant.

How or where can people see your work? How can people support your work?
I can directly be contacted at any time for any motivation. My photos can be viewed online via all the social platforms. Investing in me directly is the best way to support me.
